In-House Merchandising Costs

Basic Salary of an In-House Merchandiser (RM per month): Current rates range from RM 2,000 to RM 3,500

Additional Costs (RM per month): Includes parking, toll, staff overtime and other operational expenses.

Vehicle Cost (RM per vehicle per month): Includes petrol/diesel, maintenance, repairs, insurance and road tax.

Number of Vehicles: Total vehicles used for in-house merchandising operations.

Employer EPF Rate (%): Standard rate is 13%

Employer SOCSO + EIS Rate (%): Typically 1.75% for SOCSO and 0.2% for EIS

Total Monthly Working Hours (per merchandiser): On average is 173.2 hours (40 hours/week×4.33 weeks/month≈173.2 hours/month)

Hours to Service an Outlet: Includes service time, traveling & waiting etc. And note that the queue time for supermarkets and hypermarkets can take hours.

Total Outlets for Merchandising Services (per month):

Number of Visit per outlet per month: How many times each outlet is visited per month

Outsourcing Cost per Outlet (RM): Cost for outsourcing merchandising services per outlet
